About Us
Off Beat Designs came to life as a way to keep my hands and mind busy after my tour in Iraq as a combat medic. During one of several long stays in Veterans Hospitals, it was suggested that I utilize my creativity as an outlet for healing.

I took a class at a local shop and was hooked on the idea of making wearable art. The instructor gave me a piece of jewelry he had made recently. He stated he never goes anywhere without a piece to give away.

Designing and creating one of a kind pieces of jewelry from beginning to end allows me to constructively challenge myself and gives me a creative outlet. I find myself making pieces of jewelry and surprising others with them just because it feels good!.

When I am not using PMC clay, my photography, or glass beads I have made by hand, I personally select each bead,stone, crystal and type of silver used in my creations.

I NEVER MAKE THE SAME PIECE OF JEWELRY TWICE. What I create is wearable ONE OF A KIND art. No one would want to run into another person who is wearing the same piece of jewelry as they are! That is like two statues of David or two Mona Lisas. It is just not acceptable.
